Dr. Jidé Odubiyi, President & Technology Director jodubiyi@segma.com
Dr. Odubiyi has over 30 years of industrial and research experience with expertise in generating products from concepts to market. Prior to his current position, he led the development and on-going research on Kaelo®, a corporate governance rating system for rating the effectiveness of the leadership team of publicly traded companies; and the development and deployment of online training systems for Laundromat and electrical workers in English and Spanish. He served as Associate Professor of Computer Science at Bowie State University where he taught graduate and undergraduate courses in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Computer and Network Security. He was a Principal AI Researcher and R&D Manager at British Telecom (BT) North America/Concert Global Communications (USA) in Reston, VA for 5+ years. He has experience in developing large decision support systems for different organizations including the Boeing Company; Lockheed Martin Aerospace, and The MITRE Corporation. A founding and active member of the Maryland Alliance for Information Security and Assurance (MAISA), Dr. Odubiyi is active in cybersecurity research and development; and a member of the Industry Advisory Board of the CIS Department at Towson University, Towson, MD. He has an MS degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Washington and a doctorate degree in Applied Management and Decision Sciences. He has authored over 40 articles and two books on management and systems engineering-- Building Survivable Systems (www.survivable-systems.com).
Dr. Prekimi Tawari, Vice President and COO ptawari@segma.com
Dr. Tawari has over 30 years of experience in engineering, information technology (IT) and executive management and expertise in policy and process analysis, IT security/information assurance, budgeting and control, innovation, operations, corporate strategy, architecting solutions, new business capture, building customer relationships, formulating technology and business cases, preparing proposals, measuring corporate performance against goals and achieving financial targets. He was part of a small executive team that grew a start-up to a $500M company. As a consultant, he developed and implemented technology evaluation and integration strategies and methods for companies. Dr. Tawari was the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for L-3 Communications, Government Services, Inc (GSI), a $500M provider of Enterprise IT solutions, Global Security and Engineering services and Intelligence solutions for public and private sector customers. As CTO, he directed corporate R&D projects and monitored and assessed emerging technologies and innovative technologies. He has a doctorate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Washington and certificates in project management. He has proven skills in developing start-ups.
